Dear GMA Customer,
The Gettysburg Municipal Authority has begun a multi-year project to
upgrade water meters
within your building/home with new touch read pads to be installed on the
exterior of your building/home.
This will allow us to read your water meter without entry to your address once the upgrade
is complete.
Your cooperation
will be needed to complete this upgrade. Our installation crew will
need entry into your home
or business in order to make the change. The time required for each
meter will be between 10 to 45 minutes
depending on your present installation. Our intention is to complete
the upgrade at no cost to you, provided our crew
encounters no unusual plumbing situations.
In the event that the meter
change requires professional plumbing assistance, we will notify you.
If this occurs,
the scheduling of such work and the cost of hiring a plumber will be your
responsibility. GMA does not expect that
this situation will be very common.
All GMA customers
will receive a letter designating a day and time-range for your
pre-scheduled upgrade.
If the assigned date and time is convenient for you, we request that you
call 334-6260 and give your
name and service address to confirm. If this time and date is
not convenient for you, please contact us with 2 alternative
dates and times within the time-range indicated in the letter.
* GMA may be able to accommodate early morning, early evening and some
Saturday hours. Please call for details.
We prefer that
